2*Flynn has a competition with the first skeleton but Flynn tricks the ambusher

4*The third skeleton wants to wrestle with Flynn, but Flynn waits and after some time says "Boo", then the biggest skeleton falls apart

The Forest of Fantasy

Once upon a time, on a cloud far far away, stood a misty blue castle surrounded by a huge ring of dust and a forest. Inside lived a Wise Old Wizard, who liked to vanish instead of walking. The Wise Old Wizard wears a robe the color of the night sky. On his robe he has 35 stars. He also has a matching pointy hat that also has stars but only 17. He has a beard that is 100 cm long, and is as white as a new Mac Computer. The Wise Old Wizard is very short, only 110 cm. He has a walking stick and a wand. His walking stick is also his emergency wand. He has a old creaky voice that he doesn't use very much, and he hasn't had a bath since he was 16 years old. This is a fact that made a lot of people faint; He...is...120...years...old...! He is so powerful that he can make the earth a different shape. With his wand, he created a calm and tame pet goblin named Bubble. He only created the goblin because he was lonely, since he had absolutely no family. The Wise Old Wizard was really wrinkly and smells like frogs. he is one of those wizard who hardly ever smiles, and is a good wizard, not one of those mean, cruel, and nasty wizard. As for his mansion, it is HUGE. From the outside it looks like a normal 2 story house, but from the inside it is as big as 1 quarter of the Tasmanian sea. He is very rich, and usually very, very LAZY. Once on a cold and stormy night, the Wise Old Wizard came out of his mansion, went under the ring of dust, and sat down on his bench. He was feeling very board and lonely. So he slowly walked toward the forest and heard a faint growling sound... He swore he saw tiny people flying on a swans back. He scanned through his mind and remembered that those things were called Pinhead.He still wasn't sure what and where the growling sound was coming from. Since the wizard was a very curious person, he walked on further. After about 15 minutes of walking , the wizard was faced by a huge dragon like creature that had scales, a rooster like head and lion shaped paws. For the wizard it was a very peculiar site....very peculiar. He scanned his mind seventeen times finally on the eighteenth time he remembered what the creature was. It was a griffin. It has been said that they are very dangerous, and the wizard was sure that the fact in the book was true because the griffin ate his wand as well as his emergency wand. Soon it was dusk , the sky was getting dark and the air was getting cold and the wizard lost his way. The owls were hooting and screeching in the cold misty night. The wizard kept walking and very soon came across a very short person. He introduced himself as the "Dwarf king". He told the wizard that he could have one wish only if he could find the medal of wonder. The wizard did not know where the medal of wonder was so he got stressed. He wanted to wish for him to go home. Two minutes later the dwarf king vanished leaving a note on the ground.The note said " Follow the path in this map, you will face dangers in your track, so be careful where you step and you will find the medal of wonder".... The wizard followed the trail and ended up exactly where he was before; with the griffin.He looked everywhere around the place and found nothing. Then he stroke the griffin wondering how his pet goblin might be feeling; Smack!! the map fell to the ground and as the wizard picked it up, he looked at it upside down. Looking it that way he figured out exactly where to go!!! He was almost there ; where the medal of wonder was but he had to go to the middle of the haunted cave. The wizard was as scared as a mouse before a hungry fat cat.He ran and while running he wished that he had his wand so that he could go home. Suddenly....Crash!! The wizard had bumped into a huge rock and that's where he found the medal of wonder. As soon as he grabbed it the dwarf king appeared. He thanked the wizard and granted him his wish. That's what helped the wizard to go home and live happily ever after.

All About Megan

Character discription of Megan

Megan has Hazel green eyes with golden spikes around her pupil.She has blond hair as soft as cotton. She has pale skin, and chubby fingers and cheeks.She has really long lashes that stick out majorly. She smiles with her eyes closed which looks like she had a nightmare. She is tall and holds her head while she thinks, and soon enough her head is tilted 75 degrees to the left.

She puts her elbow on the top left corner of her book which looks odd... Her cheeks are almost always red and the hair beside her ear is extremely soft, as soft as a white puffy cloud. She never does up her top button and her hair flicks over her face. her top lip is smaller than her bottom lip and she usually wears no ear-rings. She is almost always wearing her sneakers.

She makes a new weird sound everyday. At first it was kind'a cool but now it is mega annoying, it is the most annoying sound you would want to hear on a Monday morning!! She likes insulting people, ( in a good way ) and by people I mean me!! She makes similes like: As close as a chicken is to her eggs, and looks like wool after a cat has played with it. She is a person that is always concentrated i her work, like right now, at 12:25:42 pm on Thursday the 12/08/2010 she is writing like mad. She wants to be a writer when she grows up. Either a story writer or a song writer. She is a person that you can trust, a person that can keep secrets ( she feels the same about me ). Sometimes she says the wrong word and then says opsy really cutely, and sometimes goes Arrrrrrrrgggggghhhh!!! She is crazy. As crazy as a leprecaun that just got a piece of chocolate. For example... Her drama is a comedy show, ad she makes really weird face expressions. She is really helpful and loves that about herself. Once she was fighting with Isabella if she is going to help Tatiana or Isabella is going to help Tatiana.She does joke around about people, but doesn't hurt any-ones feelings, if she does then she doesn't forgive herself. She loves to type, like when she gets the address of a website wrong , she types it all over again. Megan is practically a clown. A clown that is famous for it's humor all around the world. She always has really good questions about things that sometimes even Miss S. doesn't know the answer to it. She is very intelligent. As wise as an owl.She is really interested in art and is always concentrating while the teacher is giving instructions, sometimes she starts talking... But still on the top of her list is writing. She is really proud of herself because of the fact that her math and reading levels are really good. Megan is a really nice friend to have; especially

when it is your first year in a new school!!

All About Zanobia By Megan

"Hahaha" says Zanobia as she laughs at one of my driest jokes in the world and you guested it she is a very funny person. She loves listening to jokes even the worst in the world. Zanobia is a very wacky weird and wonderful young woman. Zanobia is extremely smart and notices every little detail about every little person. For example right now she is sitting next to me writing about me and she notices that I tip my head on a 75 degree angle when I am writing. Zen is very energetic and runs around with me all the time no matter what I am doing. She loves to play with her friend Angle. Zanobia will give you any thing you want if you ask for it and she can make it happen. Zanobia really likes playing netball and it is her favorite sport.

Zanobia's hair feels like wool after a cats played with it but it looks like brand new black silk. Only a little bit of her hair actually does feel like cotton and smooth silk. She has straight black hair and one time wanted to see what it was like to have long hair so she bought some fake hair for the $2 shop. Her top lip is wrinkly when it dries up. Her top lip is tinny and her bottom lip is a medium size. Her top lip is as small as a pin. Her nose is a extremely weird shape. She loves to paint her nails bright colours that blend. Almost all the time you see her with her nails painted. When you see her without her nails painted it is as rare as seeing a person trying to cut metal with scissors. Zanobia has dark skin skin like the wood on a tree. Zanobia has orange shaded ears that look extremely funny! Zanobia always wears headbands because her fringe is growing to long and has to wait for a hair cut. Zanobia always laughs at my dry jokes and when she does that she gets big creases around her mouth. For example one time I told her that I like her as a friend and then she laughed hard out (I was thinking I might change my mind!) and she had the biggest creases around her mouth. Zanobia has teeth that are as white as new printed paper when the sun is shining on it. She has extremely dark eyes, as dark as the night. They are nearly black but are still brown. Zanobia has lots of different earrings and she changes her earrings every week to match her outfit! She has a whole bunch of pouches with pouches with earrings flooding out of them. Zanobia is as close to her earrings as a chicken to it's eggs.

Zanobia is on her desk reading her favorite book, diary of a wimpy kid. (I guess she wants to be close to her own kind!) I am probably going to have to say sorry to Zanobia for saying the previous sentence but I get sorrys from her all the time for doing nothing! For example she says a sentence and I would usually say hoha!? So she says sorry it was meant to be like this... bla bla bla. Zanobia is nice and always swaps gross food for yummy food after school like one time she swapped a mandorin for a tim tam! Zanonia gets $5 a week for pocket money but has to jobs to get them! That's amazing I only get a big fat $0.00 and I still do jobs! Zanobia is following her dream to be a marine biologist but when she was dreaming I don't think she was floating on a cloud I think she was floating on water. Zanobia laughs at everything I say, I think her laughter box needs mending! She tells me everything she thinks about me she keeps nothing a secret. I can always rely on her to tell the truth but even if it isn't the positive truth she will make it sound like the positive one. That makes her sound even more kind and here is something that will do the same thing. Zanobia doesn't care what anybody else says about unless it is positive or it is giving her some great feed back she didn't even care about the last insult I gave her!

Those are all the reasons why everybody should want to be her friend-and they do.

Any kind of perfume

A spoon

A bowl

Soap (any)

White paint,

Powder,

Boiling water,

Paper

A 10 cm plank of wood,

A pot

A stirring spoon

A stove

A kettle

A tap

A cup

A Dog

The Instructions:

Put the pot on the stove.

Take the perfume and the soap and put it in the pot.

Put the white paint and the powder into the pot.

Fill the cup with water from the tap.

Put the water in the kettle.

Turn the kettle on.

Wait for the kettle to boil.

Put the paper and the wood in the pot.

Stir all the things in the pot with the stirring spoon.

Take the liquid and put it in the bathtub.

Fill the Bathtub with normal water.

Put your dog in the bathtub.

How to make Beach Baby Jellies
(This Recipie makes twelve Baby Jellies)
What you need:
170 Grams of Green jelly Crystals
2 tablespoons of cookie crumbs
12 Gummie bears
12 life saver sweets (sweets in shape if a life preserver)
12 paper umbrellas
500 ml Boiling water
A refirgerater
12 Small cups
A bowl

The Instructions:
1. Combine the Jelly crystals and 500 ml boiling water in a bowl.
2. Stir until all the crystals have become liquid.
3. Set the bowl aside until it is cool.
4. Pour the jelly into small moulds filling only three Quaters of the mould.
5. Put it in the refirgerater over night.
6. Sprinkle the jelly over all the jelly moulds.
7. Lay 1 gummy bear on each mould.
8. Put a life preserver sweet on the crumbs and a paper umbrella through the middle.
9. Enjoy your jelly.

Martian Monsters

We have been learning how to use an App called Make a Martian on the iPad. Miss S. quickly taught Joshua and then he taught a few others all by himself (thanks Josh!)

The very first thing we had to do was to design a martian monster using the App. Then we had to learn how to take a screen shot of it. Our last job was to open up Fotobabble, add our photo and then tell our audience a little bit about our Martian Monster - all on the iPad. You will see a few of them soon!

Haiti Donations

Haiti is one of the poorest and least developed countries in the world.
On January the 12th, 2010 a massive earthquake struck Haiti, making most of it's capital rubble. Over 250,000 people have been killed and 200,000 lost their homes.

In class we have been discussing about what happened and we also looked at some photos of all the rubble. We have been making pictures to give to the children in Haiti
and that made us think...That we could also give other items to Haiti.

So then we decided that we would like everyone to help.
So we are going to do a project in which we will be donating
toys, clothes, soap, toothpaste, and letters to Haiti in packs for them.

So if you have any of these items bring them to us in Room 12 any morning in Week 1 & 2 to help us out. Also keep an eye out on Karekare pod to see some other fantastic fundraising ideas that will support the people of Haiti.
